The Littlejohn Wildlife Management Area Cross-Country Ski Trails are located in the Towns of Lorraine and Worth in Jefferson County, and Boylston and Redfield in Oswego County. There is a total of 18.8 miles of trails, with 8.6 miles of truck trails and 10.2 miles of foot trails. These trails range in difficulty from novice to intermediate level, with many of the foot trails not well maintained.
The trails in the wildlife management area are also very good for day or weekend hikes. The best time to hike the area is in the fall, when foliage is at its peak. Some trails may be overgrown with weeds, but you should be able to make out the trail. The area tends to have some wet spots, but most of these will have dried out by fall. A permit is required to camp in the wildlife management area.
