The Lowville Demonstration Area is located on
92 acres at the former Lowville Tree Nursery on Route 812 north of Lowville.
A nature trail with numbered stops winds through the variety of tree stands,
and is good for hiking and biking in the summer, and cross-country skiing
in the winter. There is also a fish pond on site for use by youths under
15 years of age, members of an organized youth group on an outing, senior
citizens, and those people with disabilities. A detailed brochure leads
the visitor through the area, and offers interpretive information, and
is available at the office and at the parking area. Organized tours are
